Bastille at the Royal Albert Hall
This night was my favourite show, I think in my history of being a live engineer. It’s a challenging room, Nick Lythgoe from SSE had come up with a wonderful plan for the spread of PA. We used a hell of a lot of L’Acoustics Kara to cover the sides and a main L&R - with a centre hang of K1. 218s were handling the low end with a few flown K Subs. A few scattered Kara also on the lip of the stage to help with front coverage. We made one adjustment at the start of the show when I felt the centre hang needed a boost to cover the rear. It’s not a room to beat with volume for sure. Worked well, very well indeed.
Before the doors opened, we recorded a version of Quarter Past Midnight which you can now see here.
I have been recently completed the Børns UK/Europe 2017 tour.
Through this, I have also been confirmed for their 2018 shows outside of the US.
Shure: Life On The Road

TPi Article - Bastille
Here is an article TPi have written about the Bastille EU/UK/USA tour from 2016-17.
It features words from me, my wonderful tech Pertu, and our suppliers for the tour.
Here is a session I recorded for Bastille, on their 2014 USA tour, in an LA venue.
A stripped down and alternative version of the track "Torn Apart".
Recorded using a Midas Pro 6, in to an RPM dynamics AES50>Thunderbolt interface, in to Logic Pro X. Mixed with Logic Pro X and a few Waves plugins.
You, are not alone.
At times like this, with the sad news about Frightened Rabbit singer, Scott Hutchison, it should be a reminder to all, that you’re not alone. People like the wonderful Music Support are there for you, along with more people than you’d ever realise.
He touched so many (myself included) with his lyrics and music. The best to all of his family and friends.
If ever you feel like you need help, it’s just a call away.
