Travel day playlists
I spend a hell of a lot of time, travelling from place to place. Detailing it all and checking in and things, is a little gross. So instead, I decided to produce a weekly playlist of music. Not really sure how it pertains to travel as such, but they should give you an hour or so of listening, which is normally how long you have to wait to check in to your hotel / flight. Or you know, drive to work.
I've made them in Apple Music.
First one out of the gate.
Discovered a new band I enjoy called Balcony. Sound like a really nice mix of downtempo "Massive Attack" esq dance, mixed with a great pop sensibility. They're on here along with a lot of other bits and pieces that have been in my ears this week. Including of course, Quarter Past Midnight by Bastille, God Save Our Young Blood by Børns, and What The F*ck by The Boxer Rebellion.
The difficult second album.
Another wonderful discovery this week, tied to the great "Best Laid Plans" lot. Akine. A little hint of Chvrches, but with a lot more movement and sway. Excited to see it happen live. Also including a great collaboration between Mumford & Baaba Maal, along with FFS, Max Raptor, my favourite Hozier track and the Mask Off remix featuring Kendrick's verse.
